Located on the shores of one of Holland’s precious islands in the north, eilân is no ordinary festival. With no other means to reach the coast than by boat, the festival has sea travel and island atmosphere written in its DNA. For the festival’s identity and campaign, we were assigned to come up with a style that lures people across the sea towards this Dutch paradisal promise.

The campaign for the festival successfully drew a crowd towards the remote island. Even though the location was out of the way, the visual identity was able to capture the promise of the festival visually in a postcard-like fashion. The newly launched festival sold out, as the design was hugely effective in triggering an urban audience and getting the adventurous concept across.

The value we added

The design —The central focus of the visual design is the sun beyond the waves. As a beacon of longing. Together with the luring textures and scenes of the island. Beautiful and intimate photography of natural scenery is incorporated in the campaign and offered to the audience without compromise. The tone of voice and imagery are authentically and simply Dutch, reminiscent of a beach vacation from the ‘50s.
